Symptoms

When the circulation rate of water in your body (water metabolism) decreases, excessive water becomes stagnant in your body. The ability for your body to remove the excessive「Water (SUI)」is weakened, causing heavy and cold「Water (SUI)」 to accumulate in the lower body due to gravity, which in turn causes symptoms such as; swelling, bloating, the body feeling heavy, oily skin, and acne breakouts. There are various causes for this condition, including; consuming too many sweets and greasy foods, binge eating, not eating enough fibrous vegetables, and consuming too many cold foods which cause the gastrointestinal tract to be cold and weak. This type is often seen in people who have generous, gentle personalities, who do not worry about everything, and who tend to enjoy cold drinks like juice and liquor.

Meal point

1. Consume foods (ingredients) that promote water metabolism.
Examples: Red Bean, Black Bean, Mung Bean, Green Peas, Pumpkin Seeds, Peanuts, Cocoa, Coriander, Corn, Napa Cabbage, Wasabi, Mustard green, Cucumber, Watercress, Gourd (Bottle Gourd), Wax Gourd (Winter Melon), Chayote Squash, Water Parsley, Eggplant, Sea Kelp (Kombu), Dried Seaweed, Seaweed Flakes, Wakame Seaweed, Porgy (Sea Bream), Catfish, Sharkfin, Clam, Orient Clam, Conch, Duck meat, Pork Liver, Cow tongue, Plum, Grape, Watermelon, Starfruit, Mango, Melon.

2. Consuming foods (ingredients) that improve the circulation of「KI」.
Examples: Hawberry (Hawthorn), Sunflower Seeds, Scallion, Onion, Bell Pepper (Capsicum), Salmon, Tuna, Kumquat, Mikan (Japanese Orange), Grapefruit, Yuzu.
